Sancerre White 2011: "Great and imperial. Expresses well the difference between the Loire River and the restraint exuberance of the New World. The aromas are well balanced by some blackcurrent leaves and a beautiful density in mouth. Very pure and satisfaying wine." 17/20 Authentic Wines and Terroirs : Summer – Falls 2012 Buying guide reference in Belgium.
Sancerre White 2011 Nose : Fresh citrus (grapefruit, lemon) invades upon opening this powerful bouquet revealing an expressive minerality and notes of rhubarb. Mouth : The palate, insicive and tense, gives the tone of a rangy cuvée of a great pureness, where minerality goes with intense fresh citrus tastes. At the end, the pureness is nicely persistant. 16/20
Sancerre White Cuvée Maxime Silex 2010 Nose : Complex and deep bouquet, on fine mineral aromas, with citrus and marzipan tastes. Mouth : Beautiful breeding serving the fruit, this pricise and soft wine is a example of style. The citrus and dry fruits aromas are fully expressed, helped by a reflreshing sourness. The end, tense and savoury, expresses itself on chesnuts. A wine of a great pureness. 16/20
Sancerre Red Cuvée Maxime Silex 2010 Nose : Deepness and complexity are to be encountered in this bouquet, evoquing baking tastes, blond caramelized tabacco and berries (blueberries and blackberries). Mouth : This wine impressed the tasters with its density, the exuberance of its aromas (cherreis, redcurrent, blackcurrent), its remarkable balance, the distinction of its tannins and the freshness brought by a final highlighting the fruits. Superb, franc and a great pureness. 17/20.
